Thank you for your interest in the 2017-2018 accelerator class at Smallman Galley.

We are searching for four ambitious Chefs who dream of owning a restaurant and learning valuable business skills.

Program entry requirements* (in addition to required fields below):

  • Must be 18 years of age to apply.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be a chef with experience working in a commercial kitchen operation in the position of sous chef or executive chef.
  • Must be able to provide proof of sufficient working capital funds prior to program start (June 6th, 2017).

*Please note: We will consider applicants even if they do not meet all of the above requirements. We welcome your application!

Application Process

Round 1: Oct. 1 – Dec. 31, 2016

Submit your application!

Round 2: Jan. 1 – Feb. 28, 2017

Interviews for selected candidates either in person or by phone (for non-local applicants).

Round 3: Mar. 6, 2017

Top 8 Finalists cook-off for a panel of nationally known judges at Smallman Galley.

Round 4: Mar. 15, 2017

Our second class of 4 Chef entrepreneurs is announced!

Chefs begin their journey at Smallman Galley on June 6th, 2017.
