Chef Rafael Vencio

Rafael Vencio’s American Bistro concept is a result of his extensive global and domestic travels. Born and raised in the Philippines, Vencio immigrated to the United States at 19, working and living in Chicago, Montana, Los Angeles, and Louisiana en route to Pittsburgh.

“I relish the opportunity to bring people together through a mash-up of this country’s culinary traditions – everything from Creole to Cajun to Baja,” says Vencio. His Pittsburgh credentials include Spoon, Legume, and Hyeholde. He is a graduate of De La Salle University- College of St. Benilde in the Philippines.
